To who it may concern,
We would like to give information about the volunteering program implemented by our Institution within the scope of the World Heritage Volunteers (WHV) 2022 Campaign which is open to the international participants.
The UNESCO World Heritage Centre is announced the selected projects of the World Heritage Volunteers (WHV) 2022 Campaign, under the theme of Resilience and Re-mobilization towards World Heritage. 58 action camp projects will be implemented from June to December 2022 at 55 World Heritage properties and sites on the Tentative Lists, by 44 organizations in 29 countries around the globe. The WHV 2022 projects will provide empowering and enriching opportunities to young people and enable them to go beyond borders to some of the most outstanding places in the world. National and international volunteers will work together with the local communities to preserve our common cultural and natural heritage, through concrete hands-on and awareness-raising activities.
“Bath in Basilica Therma” is one of the action camp that aims to raise awareness on the World Heritage site locally and globally, and to support the archaeological excavations at the site. The project will provide the volunteers with a unique opportunity to experience and live in the site’s culture through workshops about landscaping on flowers of Yozgat, ancient Roman cuisine, etc. Attached you may find the detailed information.
Project will be implemented by Central Anatolia Development Agency (ORAN). ORAN is a governmental organization (under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology) founded in 2010 as one of the 26 Development Agencies in Turkey with the aim of accelerating socio-economic development and increasing local capacity within the borders of three provinces; Kayseri, Sivas and Yozgat located in the middle of Turkey. ORAN also aims to improve the cooperation between public sector, private sector and non-governmental organizations, to provide the efficient usage of resources in appropriate location, to accelerate the regional development in harmony with national development plans and programs by activating the local potential, to ensure the sustainability, and to minimize the inter and intra regional development differences.
We will be more than happy if you share the program with your members.
Best Regards
